Pretzels will keep the children entertained for a long while! Have them help mix up the ingredients, then they can make shapes, ABCs, animals and more. If you’re feeling adventurous, color a bit of the dough with food coloring and let their minds wander. After they’re done creating, then they can eat! It’s a win-win-win!

Preheat oven to 425F. Place large bonmat on large Perforated Baking Sheet.

In a bowl mix the following:

2 packages dry yeast

1 1/2 cup water

2 Tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon coarse salt (optional)

4 cup flour

1 beaten egg

Mix yeast and warm water. Add sugar and salt (not coarse salt). Add flour and mix. Knead dough on Roul'pat til smooth. Make into shapes- not too thick or too thin- and place on the bonmat and perforated baking sheet. Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 425F for 12-15 minutes.
